Theses or dissertations are research reports for students when completing their master’s and doctorate degrees in graduate school. The requirements are based on university requirements. However, most theses and dissertations are organized into 5 chapters. Research-based proposals may be organized around chapters or main sections similar to theses and dissertation. The main chapters are as follows: (a) Chapter 1: Introduction and background; (b) Chapter 2: Review of the literature; Chapter 3: Methodology; Chapter 4: Results, and Chapter 5: Discussion of Findings. This book is an overview of research concepts useful for students preparing for thesis, dissertation, and writing grant proposals. The author provides brief notes to guide the learner in developing their thesis or dissertation. The last two chapters are an overview of statistical analysis for quantitative and qualitative research.
